COMMUNITY OUTREACH

St John's welcomes an Alcoholics Anonymous fellowship group to meet daily at noon in the church undercroft.  On Sundays a dinner for the homeless and others needing a nourishing meal is served at "The Lord's Table" in the undercroft.  This ministry was started by the people at St John’s, but now other churches have joined with St. John's to prepare meals on a rotating basis.  St. John's also participates monthly with other area churches in serving meals at the Salvation Army Soup Kitchen; and in conducting services, with Holy Eucharist, at the Ketchikan General Hospital long-term unit.
